About this course

When you last found yourself in a high pressure environment, did you rise to the occasion or did your nerves get the better of you?

A key trait all athletes should possess is the ability to perform under pressure. Doing so requires not only physical preparation but also mental strength.

In this course, Dr Amira Najah, a clinical and sports psychologist from Qatar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital Aspetar, will discuss what a strong mind looks like and how to use mental coaching to boost your own performance when it matters most – in competition.

What you’ll learn

  • What the fundamentals of getting in the zone are
  • How to embrace and manage your emotions prior to performance
  • How you may benefit from using visualisation prior to performance
  • How approaching an injury with a positive mindset can accelerate recovery
