We're pleased to bring you an 'extra' course, which looks at the body's energy systems - how we produce energy and how our bodies adapt both to training and to recovery periods post exercise. This course takes a slightly different format to other courses on the IOC Athlete MOOC, combining the lectures and quizzes into just two parts. There are 'forward' and 'back' buttons to control the course, located at the bottom right of the course window.
To access the course, just click on the Olympic rings at the top left of the site, and choose the link to 'Cardiovascular Responses to Exercise', from the course line-up.
