Exercise Physiology – The Body In Motion


Understanding how your body responds and adapts to physical exercise is essential to enhancing your performance.

Further to discussing the performance benefits associated with exercise, Dr Richard Winsley and Dr Jo Bowtell from the University of Exeter in the UK will also explain how physical activity can be used in the prevention and treatment of chronic health conditions.

Upon completion of this course you will:

• Understand what exercise physiology is and how it may inform your training
• Explain how the body responds to endurance training
• Explain how the body responds to resistance training
• Explain how exercise and activity helps with the prevention and treatment of chronic health conditions
